The Isokari lighthouse island can be reached by using a private boat

The midsummer poles are a part of the midsummer festivities in the
villages of North Vartsala and South Vartsala as well as in
Lomavalkama, where the tradition was restarted in the early 1970’s.
The very old tradition of midsummer poles reaches back into the
beginning of history in Europe. The poles are erected and decorated
on the Midsummer Eve and are left to stand until the next Midsummer
Eve when they are lowered and decorated again.
The Katanpää fortification is located in the Lypertö village of the
Kustavi County. Tourists without their own boat may reach the
Katanpää fortification by taking part in a guided tour arranged by
local service providers and associations. The best way to see the
fortification and the island is to take part in a guided tour.
The sea reminds of itself even in the church through the beautiful
votive ships, which are presents from sailors to their home County
church. Votive ships Concordia, Religio and Constantia date back to
the 19th century.

MEMORIAL STONE OF VOLTER KILPI
The famous author Volter Kilpi was born in Kustavi in 1874. A
memorial stone erected by the Volter Kilpi association commemorating
his birth is located in the front yard of the Laupus manor house.
